Malaysia is moving towards Vision 2020, with the resolution to make Malaysia an industrialized country by the year 2020. To achieve this aspiration, we need quality human resource in terms of education and training. For these purposes, The Council of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (now known as Board of Directors) established SPACE in July, 1993. SPACE operation was extended to UTM International Campus in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur. SPACE offered the first batch of 30 students doing their Master's degree in Transportation Planning under the Out Campus Part Time Study Programme (now known as Part-Time Study Programme (PSM) in 1993.This was followed by the enrolment of 36 students studying their master in Gas Engineering in 1994. At the same time, 433 students were offered certificate course and offer short courses, seminar and workshops were also conducted by SPACE. From 1995/1996 academic session, the academic programmes through Part-time Study Programme (PSM) has been extended in terms of the number of programmes as well as the number of student intake and learning centres. At present, PSM programmes for Bachelor Degree and Diploma are being carried out at 15 learning centres all over the country. The students' enrollment has exceeded 5000.

In a special sitting in January 2005, Parliament approved the amendments to the Ninth Schdule of the Federal Constitution to transfer matters related to WATER SUPPLIES AND SERVICES from the State List to the Concurrent List (except for Sabah and Sarawak). The amendments were gazetted on 10th February 2005 and the enforcement date was 21st March 2005. With the amendments, the Federal Govenrment will regulate the water services industry in terms of licensing and regulating water services operators. The State Govenrment also retains the power to declare and regulate water resources, water catchment areas and river basins. In mid 2006, the Malaysian Parliament approved two landmark legislations that transformed the way Malaysia manages its water services, i.e. the Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara Act (Act 654) or SPAN Act and the Water Services Industry Act (Act 655) or WSIA. The former outlines the roles, functions and scope of work to be undertaken by the National Water Services Commision or SPAN, while the latter has provisions to cover economic, technical and social regulations as well as protection of consumer interests.

Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan)("KWAP") or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) was established on 1st March 2007 under the Retirement Fund Act 2007(Act 662) replacing the repealed Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454).The Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454) was enacted to assist the Federal Government in funding its pension liability. With the enactment of this Act, the Pensions Trust Fund was established on 1 June 1991 with a launching grant of RM500 million from the Federal Government. The Pensions Trust Fund was administered by the Pensions Trust Fund Council with the Accountant General of Malaysia being responsible for the day to day administration and management of the affairs of the Pensions Trust Fund. With the incorporation of KWAP, all powers, functions, activities, assets and liabilities of the Pensions Trust Fund were taken over in totality by KWAP.

1. Fund Manager

Responsibilities:

-Keep abreast with stocks, markets and economic developments
-Responsible for achieving target return for the assigned portfolio strategy which includes accessing the investment -variables, portfolio modeling, stock picking and projecting the portfolio's yearly income
-Responsible for monitoring stock prices, portfolio valuation and income target on a periodical basis. Review and recommend the appropriate course of action with regards to these matters
-Execute trade orders and ensure the execution of orders in the best available terms, by matching the market conditions at the time of transactions and the kind of order size concerned
-Review the performance of portfolio as measured by each of the performance metrics on a periodical basis and ensure efforts are taken towards improving the performance against selected benchmarks

Requirements:
-Possess Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Business Administration/Economics or related fields
-Possess strong analytical skills and mastery of qualitative and quantitative techniques of equity investment
-Ability to operate investment related system i.e. Bloomberg, Reuters, Datastream
-Able to work under tight deadlines and fast-paced environment, independently or as a team member
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-Eloquent in written and spoken English
-At least 5 years experience in managing equity funds with good track records

-Preparation of audit report, assessing risk possibility & risk impact ratings,
-Reviewing internal control effectiveness via Risk-Based Auditing approach
-Ensure adequate internal control system and compliance on system hardware and software, application system, database system and and networking i.e SAP, PELKON and Q-Radar Systems
-Optimizing Computer-Assisted Audit Technique (CAAT) i.e ACL or IDEA

Requirements:
-Bachelor (Hons) in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent from local/overseas university recognized by MQA
-Preferably minimum of 5 years experience in related field with knowledge in “UNIX”, Windows specializing in LAN and WAN networking, Programming language, Internet web based application system and Lotus Notes, Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft Office -Excel & Access for data analysis
-Posses own mode of transportation, AND
-Experience in Computer Aided Auditing Techniques (CAAT) and port or logistic industry will have an added advantage


3. HEAD, LEGAL & ADMIN

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible in administration of Corporate Legal at the higher level management. Key responsibilities include:-
-Responsible on privatization documentation and advising the company in relation to all legal matters
-Advising higher level management on the aspect of syariah compliance in the administration of halal hub
-Responsible for legal documentation management relating to property matters
-Act as a liaison between Penang Port and legal firm and also other government agencies

Requirements:
-Bachelor of Law and Syariah in Islamic Jurisprudence or Usul Fiqh from International Islamic University or other local/ overseas university recognized by MQA
-Strong communication and inter-personal skills to develop and influence relationships
-Preferably those with 5 years experience in similar field
-Candidate without degree in Islamic Jurisprudence but have qualification in syariah is also encouraged to apply

The Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) was established in 1971 under the Ministry of Human Resources to implement and administer the Social Security Schemes under the Social Security Act, 1969, the Employment Injury Insurance Scheme and Invalidity Pension Scheme. Under this scheme, employees are given protection related to employment injury, including accidents in the course of employment, occupational diseases, invalidity and death. Among the functions performed by SOCSO is a registered employer and employee, employer and employee contributions to collect, process claims and pay benefits to workers and dependents suffer. In addition, SOCSO also provides physical and vocational rehabilitation benefits as well as promoting awareness of occupational safety and health.
